We have reserved certain types of rooms specifically for those travelling with their faithful companions. To ensure maximum comfort and tranquillity for everyone, two-legged and otherwise, in our spaces, our hospitality is designed exclusively for small and medium-sized dogs. We have chosen to devote special care to them, as they are the only furry guests allowed in our establishment, so that we can offer a balanced and peaceful environment to every guest.

The hotel rooms are designed to offer a practical and comfortable stay, ideal for those looking for a functional solution in the centre of Lugano. We have single and double rooms, all equipped with shower, WC, television and telephone. The rooms have a simple and informal style, suitable for those who want comfortable accommodation without excess.
The ECONOMY, STANDARD, 2 STUDIOS and one ECOMINI rooms face the funicular railway that connects the railway station to the city centre in just a few minutes.
The funicular runs from 5:00 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.
The COMFORT, COMFORT with balcony and 2 STANDARD-ONE rooms are in a quieter location than the funicular, while the ECOMINI rooms (with one exception) face the wall.
Check-in is available from 3 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., while check-out is by 11 a.m. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged on request and subject to availability. Late check-in after 11 p.m. must be communicated in advance to reception.
Late cancellations (made less than two days before the arrival date), no-shows or early departures will be charged 100% of the cost of the first night. For some rates or special offers, cancellations or changes are not permitted (e.g. WBE Restricted, which requires advance payment at the time of booking).
Small dogs (maximum 1 per room and maximum 10 kg) are allowed in the hotel but not in the restaurant for a supplement of CHF 10 per day.
The fitness room is available for free, while the sauna and solarium are subject to a fee.
Washing machines and dryers are available for a fee from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
We have a secure storage area for your bicycle, equipped with tools for maintenance and cleaning.
Hotel Acquarello has a lounge bar right in the heart of Lugano, perfect for a relaxing aperitif or a coffee break.
The hotel is located in the city centre, in a pedestrian area, and does not have private parking.
We recommend parking your car at the Autosilo Motta, a public car park located just 200 metres from the hotel.
You can pay on site or purchase an exit ticket at the reception desk for a fixed price of CHF 27, valid for your entire stay and for a single exit.
Wi-Fi is included for the entire stay at the hotel and is available in all areas.
The hotel is accessible via steps and does not have rooms/bathrooms equipped for disabled guests.
It is possible to request a special rate for long stays or business trips.
For guests of the Hotel Acquarello, public transport (buses and trains) is completely free throughout the Canton of Ticino with the Ticino Ticket.
